Pakistan Super League (PSL) Sixth franchise is yet to get an owner for PSL 2019. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) are accepting bid proposals for the Sixth Team. 19th is the last date for bid submission.
On 19th and 20th, technical evaluation of bidders will be done while financial proposals will open on 20th.
Since the termination of previous ownership, a lot of new faces have shown interest in purchasing the sixth team.
Ali Tareen –son of Pakistan Tehreeke Insaf (PTI) Leader Jahangir Tareen is also in contention of buying the Sixth team for which he also met PCB officials. He is also working for domestic cricket in Pakistan.
But now things have changed for him as he is showing concerns over the price of the team.
In a tweet he mentioned his concerns:
In another tweet he said:
He said that Multan Sultans was sold at a higher price than expected. This time he would bid around $4m which according to him is the fair price.
But this time again, the price will go above $5m which is allowing him to reconsider his decision of buying the team.
PCB already have 15 more bidders other than him, if he does not buy the team, it will not affect the worth of the Sixth team.
Schon Groups bought the team for $5.2m for the third edition and named it Multan Sultans. But in the next year failed to clear payment and got terminated.
